ABOUT KINDER HEARTS HOME HEALTH & HOSPICE:
OUR LEGACY OF CARE
MEET THE CEO
Kinder Hearts was founded right here in Abilene 2002 with a vision to provide exceptional care for patients. Our agency has grown in its reach by seeking staff who will hold steadfastly to the Kinder Hearts mission.
Led by our Executive Director, Travis Jones, PT, DPT, staff members use moments of truth to bring life changing service to the patients they serve. It is that distinction, and their caring approach, that makes Kinder Hearts the fastest growing agency in the Big Country.
"I want to thank all of you for the great care and the encouragement you gave me after my surgery. Special thanks to Josh, Beth, Spencer and Suzan."
"I just wanted to thank everyone at Kinder Hearts Hospice for your help and kindness given to my dad. I will never forget everything you did for us and thank God for people like you."

Meet Our Executive Director, Travis Jones, PT, DPT
Travis Jones is still calling the signals in Abilene in the strategic leadership role as executive director of Kinder Hearts Home Health & Hospice.
Travis’ first leadership role in Abilene came as the starting quarterback for Hardin-Simmons University in 2000 after graduating from Amarillo High School in 1999. As starting quarterback in 2000, the Cowboys went 12-1 and advanced to the national semi-finals.
Not only did Travis excel on the gridiron while a student at HSU, he served as president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and played baseball two years. He graduated with a bachelor of science in 2003 and a doctorate in physical therapy in 2006.
In the 10 years since graduation, Travis has practiced physical therapy in the outpatient setting at D1 Sports and at the skilled nursing facility of Wisteria Place, both in Abilene. Travis most recently served as regional therapy resource with the Ensign Group, parent company of Cornerstone Healthcare.
On September 1, 2016, Travis was named executive director of Kinder Hearts Home Health & Hospice after it was acquired by Cornerstone Healthcare from its founders, Liz and Daryl Phariss.
“Travis is an outstanding leader in our organization, and we predict he will add significant value to our growing mission in the Abilene area,” said Brent Guerisoli, 1177 Healthcare President.
While at HSU, Travis met his wife, Emily, who grew up in Clyde and also graduated from HSU in 2003 with a bachelor of behavioral science degree in sports fitness and psychology. They have been married 12 years and have a son and daughter, Tucker, age 10, and Aubrey, age eight.
They are proud residents of Clyde and enjoy spending time together as a family and in activities at Beltway Park Church. Travis also enjoys coaching his son in various sports, carrying on the traditions of his father, former head baseball coach at Amarillo High School.
